As our nation’s capital, Canberra in the ACT comprises a highly educated workforce and offers a vast array of employment opportunities, particularly in government, business, research and education. Although both the Australian and ACT governments are obviously responsible for employing a considerable amount of Canberra’s workforce, more than half of Canberra’s employees are working in the private sector.

Financially, employees in Canberra are fortunate to consistently receive the highest average full-time income across Australia.
